Annual Business Awards Night and Employment Appreciation Dinner

Fayette Progressive Industries (FPI) held its first Business Awards Night Banquet on Mon., March 23, 2015  to honor local businesses that provide employment for adults with disabilities. The evening at the South Side Church of Christ began with an introduction of various board members and adults in the employment program. A dinner was served by The Willow catering service, and after dinner several local businesses were called upon to accept an award for the support of the employment program at FPI. There were 31 businesses or individuals honored during the event who employ people with disabilities along with 6 businesses who are used as “training sites” to help build skills for the employees. Through this program, the people employed gain more experience, have a way to earn a paycheck and are becoming integrated into the community. While they might have more obstacles to overcome, the community has done a great job of helping them, and FPI will continue to help them overcome these obstacles.

It was a great night and Fayette Progressive Industries is very glad of the opportunity to show appreciation to the local businesses that support us. We look forward to holding more award banquets in the future.
