HOME OF THE DRAGONS!
“Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”
Program Description: The Fayette County Special Olympics program offers athletic training and competition to any eligible person age 8 and older.
Currently, our program offers both School age and Adult teams in Basketball, Unified Softball, Bowling, Track and Field and Cheerleading. Unified sports are programs that combine athletes with disabilities, with individuals (partners) without disabilities to form sports teams for training and competition.
Volunteering: Volunteers are an essential part of the success of our Special Olympics program. In the future, we are looking to add Unified Volleyball and Unified Golf. The more volunteers we bring in, the more sports we can offer our athletes; teaching them valuable skills, making new friends, and keeping the athletes out of trouble. If you would like to volunteer please contact Tim Stewart at (740) 335-7453 ext 218 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
