Eligibility

Service and Support Administration is responsible to determine if a person, child or adult, is eligible for County Board services for anyone living within Fayette County.

As part of the application, a person must provide evidence of a developmental disability as defined in Ohio Revised Code, must have manifested before age 22, and is likely to continue indefinitely.

While the medical list is numerous, such disabilities include, but are not limited to, Autism, Epilepsy, Developmental Disability, Spina Bifida and Traumatic Brain Injury. Once this has been established, the person will be evaluated on their current functional abilities.

If under the age of 6, a child’s eligibility is determined by the existence of developmental delays or an established risk of a delay.
