The Service and Support Administration (SSA) is the case management services offered to eligible children and adults starting at age 3. The SSAs are trained in Good Life Principles, Trauma Informed Care, and Person-Centered Philosophies, all of which support people and their families with their personal outcomes to help them move forward, as they desire, in their lives. Supports are designed to balance what is important to a person and what is important for them. The supports are also provided in many settings, such as, but not limited to, the family home, community living, school and employment.
Services include these:
- Assessment and plan development
- Coordination of support services
- Community connections
- Employment navigation
- Transition planning
- Monitoring of services
- Crisis Intervention
Additionally, the Children’s SSA facilitates a support group called SAFE (Showing Acceptance For Everyone), which meets twice monthly for parents and family. The group also has special family events throughout the year. The Fayette County Board provides childcare for these meetings.
SSA provides a 24-hour emergency response system. For an emergency or crisis, contact can be made using the on-call number at:
